Description
SCADA’s mountain bike pedals are available in two basic categories: Clipless or Flat. Clipless models are subdivided into three main types. Flat models come in a variety of iterations.
Clipless
Clipless pedals are available in Popup Dual-Sided, Dual-Sided, & Multi-Interface (single-sided) models.
Broad-Base Dual-Sided Popup
There are two popup pedal models. The first is the SC-M129 with a die-cast body, a CNC-machined aluminum platform, and CNC-machined chromoly (cartridge) axle. The bearing is LSL bushing, sealed. The spring-loaded, tension-adjustable chromoly binding is a dual-sided cage with a maximum 15°elevation, and dimensions of 105 x 103mm.The compatible cleat is the SC-C01F. Each piece weighs 284g.
The second, SC-M128 has a die-cast body with a thermoplastic platform and CNC-machined chromoly (cartridge) axle. The bearing is LSL bushing, sealed. The spring-loaded, tension-adjustable chromoly binding is a dual-sided cage with a maximum 15°elevation, and dimensions of 105 x 103mm. The compatible cleat is the SC-C01F. Each piece weighs 244g.t
Dual-Sided
While the popup models are also dual sided, the dual-sided models in this section lack the platform base. First off, the SC-M120 and SC-M121 each have a 6061 aluminum, CNC-machined body, and a CNC-machined chromoly axle. The bearings are LSL bushing, sealed. The tension-adjustable binding is dual-sided chromoly. The appropriate cleat for both is the SC-C01F. Whereas the M120 is 82mm x 55mm and weighs 142g, the M121 is 80mm x 60mm and weighs 165g. The third model, SC-M140 differs a little more as it is forged from 6066 aluminum, is 80mm x 55mm, and weighs 145g. Fourth, the SC-M101, has a die-cast aluminum body, a CNC-machined chromoly axle and a dual-sided chromoly tension-adjustable binding. The bearings are LSL bushing, sealed. This unit also comes in a ball-bearings version, SC-M101B.
The next set of dual-sided pedals return to the broad-based popup design—without the popup, and without any rotation/elevation. SC-M138, SC-M137, and SC-M126 each has a 6061 aluminum, CNC-machined body, and a CNC-machined chromoly axle. The bearings are LSL bushing, sealed. The tension-adjustable binding is dual-sided chromoly. Weights per piece are 232g, 238g, and 279g respectively. One other model, SC-M102, has the same specifications apart from its die-cast aluminum body. The last in this group, SC-M117, follows suit. But two variations are available. SC-M117-1 sports a single-sided binding. SC-M117-2 lacks the binding mechanism, but has replaceable grip pins.
Single-Sided
SC-M216 has thermoplastic injection body, CNC-machines chromoly (cartridge) axle, single-sided chromoly tension-adjustable bindings. The bearings are LSL bushing, sealed. Models SC-M213, SC-M210 (cartridge axle), SC-M206, SC-M208, and SC-M209, differ with their 6061 aluminum, CNC-machined body. All other specifications are the same. SC-M204-1, SC-M201, and SC-M203 are distinct due to their die-cast aluminum body. All other specifications are the same.
Flat
SC-M307 has a die-cast aluminum body but with inlaid kraton. SC-M308B has a one-piece polycarbonate body, a boron steel axle with ball bearings, and is available in a range of colors. SC-M301 and SC-M304 both have a die-cast aluminum body, a CNC-machined chromoly axle with LSL bushing, sealed. A toe-clip and strap can be attached. Reflectors are included. There is also a ball bearing version of this model, SC-M301B. SC-M302 (and ball bearing version), and SC-M303 have a one-piece, die-cast aluminum body. All other specifications are the same. SC-M305B has a black PP body, a boron steel axle and ball bearings. SC-M306B has a one-piece black PP body.
